A Georgia Medical Cannabis card is valid for five years from its issue date. However, the patient’s physician must complete a Medical Cannabis Certification annually.
Consult your physician before your five-year Medical Cannabis card expires so the physician can renew your eligibility and update the state registry. You must also maintain the required annual physician certification while the card remains active.
A Georgia Medical Cannabis card renewal costs $30. Online payments include an additional $3.75 service fee. Patients who cannot use the online portal may pay $30 by money order. Any physician consultation charge is separate from the state card fee.

If your Georgia Medical Cannabis card expires, you must consult your physician so the physician can confirm your continued eligibility, complete the required Medical Cannabis Certification, and update your information in the state registry.
